GRP Biathlon: Margie Is Going to the Olympics!
We are excited to announce that GRPer Margie Freed has qualified for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympic Games. She earned her spot through a top performance on the World Cup during Period 1 and is set to compete in the Games in Antholz, the Olympic biathlon venue, February 8-18. This is Margie’s first Olympics and comes after having transitioned from cross-country skiing to biathlon throughout the 2020-2022 seasons.
GRP biathlon coach Raleigh Goessling says, “The Center community is thrilled that Margie’s years of hard work and professionalism have produced such outstanding results. We are proud to have her represent GRP Snow at the Games."
Long time Cedar Sprig and 2022 Olympian Jake Brown will be the men’s team alternate this time around in Italy.
