GRP Row heads to Princeton for National Selection Regatta (NSR)

The GRP Rowers will race in the National Selection Regatta in Princeton, NJ this upcoming weekend. The racing begins on Friday, May 1st with a time trial format. Friday results determine the heats for Saturday. The last day of racing will take place Sunday, May 3rd for the finals with the winner earning the opportunity to represent the U.S. at the World Cups.
The majority of the team headed south to Charlottesville, Virginia at the end of March to train until the May race. The team is training out of the UVA boathouse and being coached by GRP Coach Hillary Saeger and long-time UVA coach Kevin Sauer. 2025 GRP National Team members Holly Drapp and Anna Jensen were training in Princeton, while on the men’s side sprigs Caleb Nolenberger and Jacob Plihal trained in Sarasota. Kevin Harvell trained with the group in Virginia but will not be racing in Princeton. Kevin is headed to Italy and Spain to race with the Puerto Rican National Team.
Rowers will race in either a pair or a single to show their speed in the smallest boat class of their discipline. There are 43 men and women 1x entries, 12 men 2- entries and 11 women 2- entries.
