The Green Racing Project started spring racing in Saratoga Springs, NY at the 2025 Saratoga Spring Speed Order. Conditions were tough starting with a brutal headwind gusting 25–30 mph and a strong opposing current. Despite the conditions, GRP athletes put together a series of strong performances in both the men’s and women’s single scull events.

On the women’s side, Sera Busse led the way with a 4th-place finish in the A Final, holding her own in a competitive field. Catie Castle took control of the B Final to finish 1st, delivering a confident piece in the headwind. The C Final saw GRP take the top three spots, with Charlotte Wiley crossing the line first, followed closely by Paige Wheeler in 2nd and Anna Jensen in 3rd - a clear demonstration of depth and strength in the squad. In the men’s single, Cooper Tuckerman powered through tough conditions to win the B Final with a strong row. Evan Hankins-Hull also put in a solid performance, finishing 4th in the same final.

As a whole, the weekend marked a promising start to the 2025 season, with all GRP athletes showing resilience, solid technique changes, and a platform to build from. GRP Row athletes are looking to earn spots that the USRowing Selection Camp 2, in Princeton, New Jersey, July 6-27.
