GRP Row: 2025 Head of the Fish Recap

Green Racing Project (GRP) rowers competed at the Head of the Fish in Saratoga, New York this past weekend. Events were contested at a distance of just over 3k in this event that offers race opportunities cut with a sense of whimsy and a lack of self-seriousness as exemplified by the regattas’ signature fish head plaques (examples here).
GRP entered 3 mens singles, 6 women’s singles, a men and women’s pair, 2 women’s pair, and 3 mixed doubles. The rowers made the most of the day, taking 4 wins across those 6 categories. Most athletes raced twice in the day, testing both their phyiscal stamina and racecraft. The Fish was the last competition before the team heads to Princeton in November for the Fall Speed Order.
